School’s out and Free Movies Are in at Columbus, Ohio’s Gateway Film Center

GFC Brings Back Favorite Summer Program “From Book to Film”

From Book to Film is an annual partnership between GFC and Columbus Metropolitan Library. Each summer, the film center presents the most beloved book-inspired family movies, collected together in one summer-long series. Admission is alway free with any library card.

This summer GFC takes the program up a notch by turning the series into the “From Book to Film Summer Adventure” with interactive treasure map fun. Moviegoers can pick up a “From Book to Film” treasure map at any Columbus library branch or at the film center’s box office and take a trip through the miraculous, inspiring and thrilling movies that began life as books. The more movies participants watch, the more token stickers they’ll earn for their map. Kids can turn in their maps at the end of the adventure to earn great film center prizes!

The From Book to Film movies will each play on the same weekday schedule: Fridays at 11 a.m.; Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; Mondays at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and Wednesdays at 2 p.m.

So, bring the family, bring the kids or just bring yourself to our From Book to Film Summer Adventure.
